When you live in a town there inevitably are things that you always think you are going to do or go see, but then you don't. Maybe you wait until there are people from out of town, and then you go and show them.

It wasn't until I was having a discussion with a couple over the weekend who grew up in the area and moved out of state years ago, that I was reminded of all these great things that are available here in the Hudson Valley. When was the last time you did any of the following? Have you ever done them?

There are a few things that this couple reminded me of including the beautiful murals inside the Poughkeepsie City Post Office on Mansion Street. The art work is absolutely breathtaking. While you are paying a visit to the Post Office, take the time to cross the street and visit the old Poughkeepsie Journal building.
