The Walkway Over The Hudson State Historic Park may be one of the most popular parks in the Hudson Valley. It has about 600,000 visitors each year.

When Did This Fan Favorite Hudson Valley Park First Open?


The Walkway Over The Hudson State Historic Park shared interesting information including how it's known for being the world's longest elevated pedestrian bridge. It's also over a mile long, elevated pedestrian bridge as well. 

In the 1970's it made it to the list of National Register of Historic Places.

They also included,

"It was reopened on October 3, 2009, as a pedestrian walkway as part of the new Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park."

Additional information also include,

"In 2017, the walkway hosted 593,868 visitors."

When Did The Walkway Over The Hudson State Historic Park Set Their Hours Back?


In November 2024, The Walkway Over The Hudson Historic Park mentioned that they were participating in Daylight saving time along with adjusting their hours.

The hours of this park were 7am-5pm throughout the end of the year. Now that we're in February 2025, we can start counting down the day until spring as it will be here next month.

Warmer temps equal more outdoor time on our favorite Hudson Valley trails and within nature! The Walkway Over The Hudson State Historic Park is also counting down until spring.

Walkway Over The Hudson State Historic Park Makes Exciting Changes To Their Hours


This popular New York state historic park updates their followers on Facebook with changes, includes pictures that visitors take and provides throwback pictures as well.

The Walkway Over The Hudson State Historic Park made exciting changes to their hours as of February 2025. They included,

"Sometimes we don't believe it either, but spring is coming! It really is."

In this post, they also included that since the days are getting longer, the hours of the Walkway will also remain open later. 

The new park hours at the Walkway Over The Hudson State Historic park included 7am-5:30pm until March 2, 2025.
