Those in the holiday spirit can take a mini road trip to experience a one of a kind, holiday tree display in a welcoming, upstate New York area.

Corning, NY is the home to a magical Christmas tree that is made out of 2,000 glass ornaments.

Guests Can Visit This Unique Christmas Tree At The Corning Museum Of Glass

The Corning Museum of Glass is located in Corning, NY. I've been to this museum before and the surrounding area and I look forward to visiting again. They shared information about their holiday tree.

The Corning Museum of Glass Holiday Tree first started in 2008 with about 600 ornaments. These ornaments came from the museum's Hot Glass Team.

In 2009, the tree then grew to about 14 feet tall, with a lot more ornaments. There are 2,000 glass ornaments on the Corning Museum of Glass's Holiday Tree that were made by the talented glassmakers on site.

The Corning Museum of Glass shared,

"The Museum's glittering ornament tree has now become a holiday tradition—the perfect background for an annual holiday photo. "

However, guests can't purchase any of the ornaments on this tree but they are able to make their own ornaments in their studio.

When Can Guests Visit This Christmas Tree In Corning, NY?

The Corning Museum of Glass shared that guests can visit this unique holiday ornament tree now until January 6, 2025. This tree is located in the admission lobby on site.

When I went to the Corning Museum of Glass, I didn't realize that guests can spend an entire day there. Visitors can shop, go through the exhibits, watch live experiences of glass blowing and more. All of the staff members were very friendly and more than accommodating, it appeared as if everyone truly enjoyed what they were doing.

This trip was definitely worth the drive. While in the Corning, NY area, guests can also visit Corning's Gaffer District filled with quaint, locally owned businesses to support. The Centerway Walking bridge has beautiful views of the Corning, NY area and a great way to get some steps outdoors.
