The Hudson Valley is filled with history lessons for those who are intrigued by its past. Some towns date back to the 1600s and had led the way for us. From historical sites to businesses and more, there’s a lot to learn about our state.

I love all of the options in the Hudson Valley to learn about its history including the Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt and Eleanor Roosevelt National Historic Site in Hyde Park, NY. A war site and fascinating museum is located in Newburgh, NY at Washington’s Headquarters State Historic Site.

Not only can history buffs learn about Ulster County, NY’s past, they can take in the scenic views of the area as well.
