
Unique Fancy Dress Contest Challenges Kingston NY Library Patrons
Do you often go through your closet and create new outfits or even clothing items from the ones you already own? Or do you love heading to the thrift store to see what new to you clothing treasures you can mix, match and re-create?
Do you do this because it is fun and you love it? Or do you do it because you are sustainably creating a brand new item that is fabulous? All of the above? That is great too! The Kingston NY library would like to challenge you this month! What is the challenge and what can you win? Keep scrolling!
What is the Kingston Library's October challenge?
The library, which is located at 55 Franklin Street in Kingston NY 12401, is challenging their guests to recreate a fancy dress, with the theme of sustainability and up-cycling. The goal is for you to make a fancy dress with items that you already own or with ones that were purchased at a thrift store. What's the categories?

What age groups can compete in the Kingston Library Fancy Dress Contest?
There will be five winners, one in each of the following categories, Children under 5, kids 5-12 years of age, teens 13-18, adults 19 and older, plus there will also be a pet category. How can you submit your fabulous creations? You will need to email a photo of your fancy upcycled dress to reference@kingstonlibrary.org. The photos must be received by October 27, 2023 at 10 am. Each person can only enter one time per category. Then the winner will be selected via online voting. Good luck! I can't wait to see all of the entries.
