It wasn't long after Bed, Bath & Beyond closed in Middletown, NY that Hudson Valley residents were speculating what would soon replace this building.

Ross soon replaced Bed, Bath & Beyond in this Orange County, NY shopping plaza. They are known for "Ross Dress For Less" bringing bargains and affordable style to their customers.

I researched the closest Ross store in the Hudson Valley area and I found some in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Does this mean that this Ross store in Middletown, NY will be the only one in the Hudson Valley for the time being? We shall see.

Hudson Valley residents were also saddened when Toys "R" Us closed their locations within the Hudson Valley.

When Did Toys "R" Us Make A Comeback In The Hudson Valley?

When Toys "R" Us locations started to close, it felt as if a part of our inner child was upset about the news as well. However, Toys "R" Us made a comeback here in the Hudson Valley.

According to Hudson Valley Country,

" In July of 2022, it was announced that Macy would do the lords work and bring life back into Toys R Us."

Hudson Valley Country shared that Macy's made an announcement of their new addition to Toys "R" Us stores in New York locations. Macy's included the Galleria at Crystal Run Mall in Middletown, NY to be included in the list.

This good news made Toys "R" Us fans happy considering that multiple locations were already closed including one of their most popular destinations in Orange County, NY.

For years, Hudson Valley residents have been guessing what will take over the Toys "R" Us location in Middletown, NY. There was speculation from word of mouth and on social media, and a clear answer has been given to local shoppers and Hudson Valley residents.

A sign is now up in the previous location of Toys "R" Us in a popular shopping plaza location in Orange County, NY.

Sierra is coming to Middletown, NY, and replacing the former Toys "R" Us building.

What Do Sierra Stores Sell?

In time, Sierra will be available for Hudson Valley shoppers to experience. Sierra comes from the same shopping family as Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Home Goods, and HomeSense.

Sierra will bring discounted items such as clothing, gear, pet items, and home decor as well. Their outdoor gear and clothing options are great for those who enjoy rockin' their activewear and apparel for hitting the trails.

Sierra explains,

On their website, Sierra lists one of their stores as being located in Poughkeepsie, NY on South Road. As of now, it is unsure when Sierra will officially open in Middletown, NY.
