Major Toy Company Announces Recall Because of Choking Hazard

In 2023, there was a statement from a popular washing machine company to stop the use of their product.
The latest toy recall is shocking parents.
What Toys Are Being Recalled?
On October 20, 2023, ABC News announced the latest recall related to children's toys.
Fisher-Price has recalled around 21,000 of Thomas & Friends toy trucks.
ABC News shared that customers and parents have been advised to stop the use of recalled Thomas & Friends toys.
The recalled toys are Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway Trouble Truck & Crates. The Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway Trouble Truck & Paint toys are also being recalled.
Why Are These Toys Being Recalled?
ABC News explained more information from a Consumer Product Safety Commision, these toys have
"a small magnet encased in a plastic piece that can connect the toys to additional train toy pieces "can detach or become loose, posing choking and magnet ingestion hazards".
What Did Fisher- Price Say About Their Lastes Recall?
Good Morning America shared,
"Fisher-Price said in a statement shared on their parent company Mattel's website that the company has received one report of the plastic part loosening and detaching from one of the Thomas & Friends toys but that no injuries have been reported so far.'
Good Morning America also shared that Fisher-Price's focus and concern is always about children and their safety.
"For that reason, we've taken action to recall the Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway Troublesome Truck & Crates and Troublesome Truck & Paint."
What Are The Model Numbers Of The Recalled Fischer Price Toys?
According to Good Morning America, the recalled Fisher-Price toys have a certain model number that consumers can take a look at.
"The recalled Troublesome Truck & Crates toys with model number HBJ89 have a black and gray coloring while the Troublesome Truck & Paint toys with model number HBJ90 are gray with a yellow paint splatter design on the sides of the toys."
However, both of these toys were designed to look similar to Thomas & Friends characters. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission shared that these toys measure around 3.6 inches long and 2.1 inches high.
Where Did These Recalled Toys Come From?
ABC News shared that the CPSC explained that Troublesome Truck toys were made in Indonesia. They also retailed for around $17 which were sold online at Amazon.com and other stores such as Barnes & Noble.
These sales took place from February 2022 through August 2023.
What Can Consumers Do With Their Recalled Toy?
With the information that ABC News shared, anyone that has the recalled toys can contact Fisher-Price themselves which can be done through the Mattel website.
Consumers will then get a prepaid mailing label which they can then use to request a refund for the recalled item.
Those who have the recalled toy will receive $17 from Fisher Price as a refund, for each recalled toy.
