The Orange County, NY Pharmaceutical event or drug turn-in event will take place on May 7, 2022 from 9 AM to 3 PM. The Orange County Sheriffs Office will be on hand at Thomas Bull Memorial Park, which is located at 90 Grove Street, Campbell Hall. You can bring any prescription drugs that you no longer need, but have left, to turn in and have them disposed.
What can people bring to the Hazmat Disposal turn-in and where is it being held?
The Orange County Hazmat drop-off will take place on Friday May 6, 2022. On this day, only businesses, schools, farms, and municipalities can bring items. For the May 6th date, businesses, schools, farms and municipalities do need to register in advance.
What about the Orange County, NY Residential Hazardous Waste & Prescription Drug Drop-Off? Can't I do it on May 6?
No, if you are not in one of the categories listed above, and are a resident of Orange County, NY you can bring your items on Saturday, May 7, 9 AM to 3 PM. You do not need to register in advance, and you can also bring your prescription items to be collected by the Orange County Sheriffs Department.
How much do you need to pay for this event?
The collection event is free for residents of Orange County, just make sure to bring your drivers license to show proof of residency. Residents do not need to pre-register for the event. If a business, farm, school or municipality wishes to participate, they will need to pre-register in advance for the May 6th date, no later than April 22, 2022.
