The New York State Thruway Authority made an announcement on social media in April of 2023. This announcement was concerning the $9.7 million that would be going towards New York State's Thruway pavement.

According to the New York State Thruway Authority, the 2024 budget total would be $1.3 billion. This budget would also include $411.9 million for the operating expenses of the New York State Thruway Authority.

$71 million would also be included for the New York State Police Troop reimbursement costs along with system patrolling.

In Early April of 2024, Sullivan County Catskills shared important information about bridgework that would take place locally.

Sullivan County Catskills explained The Sullivan County Division of Public Works would be working on local roads as of Monday, April 8, 2024.

The work would take place on County Bridge 333 located on County Road 174. This road could also be known as Old Route 17 which is located in the Town of Thompson.

According to Sullivan County Catskills, this bridge work will continue for approximately 5 weeks. Residents should plan to take alternative routes to avoid any traffic or delays.
