Here’s How Your Tree Could Celebrate Christmas in Middletown NY
Have you already started to think about the Christmas holidays? Do you love decorating the house and the yard every year? Do you have a tree that you think that would make a very grand addition to someone's Christmas celebration?
There are people who are looking for your large Spruce trees. Yes, seriously they are! Now you are thinking about that tree in your yard and how you can potentially share it with an entire community, so how can you make that happen.
Who is looking for your Hudson Valley Christmas Tree?
The City of Middletown has just begun their annual search for the Christmas Tree that will feature in their holiday decorations. The selected tree will take its place in John F. Degnan Square in Downtown Middletown with the grand tree lighting and kick off to the holidays parade on Friday November 24, 2023.

What should you do if you think your tree has what it takes to represent the City of Middletown NY?
There are a few things that you will need to do, first how big is your tree? While it is ultimately the decision of the committee as to who's tree is the best for the event, they have shared a few things about what the ideal tree entails:
- It should be approximately 40 feet or taller
- The tree needs to be accessible (equipment and trucks can get to it) and close to the City of Middletown.
The committee will make the ultimate decision, and the tree will be removed at no expense to you. The Downtown Middletown Business Improvement District would also like to thank the team at Aspen Tree Service who volunteer their time and equipment to assist the City crews to cut down, transport and install the tree at the designated spot in John F. Degnan Square, Downtown Middletown. If you think your tree has the right stuff to be "The One" this year, contact the Downtown Middletown Business Improvement District at 845-343-8075.
