According to sources, State Police say they arrested a Hudson man in Herkimer County on Wednesday afternoon after he was caught with 400 pounds of THC and marijuana edibles.  The quantity alone is astonishing and the street value of such a large amount could be upwards of hundreds of thousands of dollars.   Many of the edibles confiscated were of the "Wonka" variety and the man taken into custody was given anything but a Golden Ticket.

The Daily Gazette reports that New York State Police stopped the vehicle of Lindsay L. Miranda, a 21-year-old from Hudson, just before 1PM on Wednesday afternoon in the Town of Schuyler which is located about 90 miles northwest of Albany.

Inside the car, troopers say they found the whopping amount of drugs and close to $8,000 in cash and charged the man with one count of second-degree criminal possession of marijuana - resulting in a felony arrest - according to the Daily Gazette.

While 400 LBS is nothing to 'snozberry' at, it doesn't quite come to close to some of the enormous quantities seized in New York recently.

According to NBC new York, a total of 2,500 hundred pounds of pot was discovered in two separate busts on the same day near the New York/Canadian border back in January. The source reports that the street value is estimated at nearly $5 million dollars.

NBC New York reports that the largest marijuana drug bust at the NY/Canadian border happened last June when nearly 10,000 pounds was discovered out near Buffalo.
