How Can We Cool Off This Summer In The Hudson Valley?

I went to a local beach and park in the Sullivan County area during the summer and it was a lot of fun. I refer to it as a hidden gem and a place where we can truly unwind. Lake Superior State Park in Bethel has reopened for the season. I enjoyed having a picnic and going pedal boating on site. They also have canoes and kayaks to rent in addition to a volleyball net to play in.

A splash pad has also reopened in Orange County. The splash pad in the City of Port Jervis on Church Street Park is now open to the public. We can visit this location to cool off each day from 11am until 7pm.

Along with local beaches and splash pads, public pools are another great way to cool off. For even more summer fun, families can also enjoy a newly opened playground and dog park, offering something for everyone to enjoy outdoors!

Community Celebrates Grand Opening Of Sullivan County's New Playground And Dog Park

The Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce shared an exciting post on social media. They included that the community came together to celebrate at the ribbon cutting of the new playground and dog park which is located at East Mongaup River Park in Monticello.

The Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce highlighted that local families, residents, businesses and more were at this grand opening celebration. They also mentioned that we can enjoy different amenities on site for children and our furry friends as well.

What Else Can We Experience At East Mongaup River Park In Monticello, NY?

The Town of Thompson shared great ways for us to enjoy this park in Monticello. They included that the East Mongaup River Park was once referred to as the Town of Thompson Park. Today, we can explore their 173 acres on site that features pavilions and a bunch of amenities.

I would love to explore their hiking and walking trails, their relaxing space in the pergola and check out the community building.

Have fun this summer exploring all that the Hudson Valley has to offer!
