There are so many great fairs and festivals within the Hudson Valley. Thankfully, there isn't any time for us to be bored in this area because we can attend local gatherings often!

Beloved Cheese Festival Returns To Orange County For Another Delicious Celebration

The community has shared their excitement on social media as the Monroe Cheese Festival is set to return! This local celebration brings foodies and locals together to enjoy the area and most importantly, cheese.

The Monroe Cheese Festival will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 10am until 4pm in the Village of Monroe, yum!

What Can We Experience At The Monroe Cheese Festival In Monroe, NY?

I would like to attend this festival because I love all things, cheese! There are so many delicious cheese options including mozzerella, cheddar, pimento, dill which I enjoy putting on almost anything haha.

On social media, the Village of Monroe posted pictures from their festival in 2025 and it looked like fun.

At the Monroe Cheese Festival, we can enjoy shopping from local vendors, see music and live entertainment and overall, have fun with the community which is my favorite!

On their website, they have options where we can submit forms to be a vendor at this festival. Some of the options include food, craft, commercial and charity as well. We can see their website and social media platforms for additional info.

What Else Can We Do In Monroe, NY?

Monroe is such a cute area and there's so much for us to explore! History buffs can see the Village Museum which is knowing for being a 'living history museum' in Orange County. Outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers can check out the local walking, hiking and biking trails. Fitzgerald Falls is a popular destination for this.

The Captain's Table in Monroe is a staple within the community serving food and drinks. Village Hands Cafe and the Empire Diner are also great places to get food within the area.

Eat Your Way Through The Hudson Valley With The Best Ice Cream

I have always enjoyed stopping by my favorite local ice cream shops and choosing a new flavor. Whether it's a hot fudge sundae, chocolate peanut butter ice cream in a cone, or an ice cream sandwich, count me in.

The Hudson Valley has strange ice cream flavors. From lemon poppyseed to thai iced tea and barn boots, there aren't any boring flavors in our area.

A 'Premiere' Hudson Valley treat shop was expanding their space during the winter months to prepare for a busy summer season.

Thankfully, we have a large selection of local ice cream shops to visit in the Hudson Valley.
