It might not look like much, but the reviews speak for itself.

I've driven by this spot many times, but I never knew what it really was at first, I think we can all say it...it doesn't look like much from the outside, but between word-of-mouth and the reviews this is a special breakfast spot.

Where is a great hidden breakfast spot in the Hudson Valley?

I was recently talking to a friend and she mentioned how she had always has an amazing breakfast at Lou's Restaurant in the Carmel Hamlet. She said she goes all the time and between the food, the charm of the place and the nice people who work there it's always great.

I wanted to check out the reviews to see is everything matched up and the reviews for Lou's are fabulous.

"if you find yourself pulling off the highway for gas and you're hungry, DEFINITELY stop at Lou's!"

"Gary was so accommodating even though we came pretty close to closing time"

"Lou (aka Gary) does everything and the eggs were cooked perfectly and the blueberry pancakes are wonderful"

"Perfect spot. Local. Cute. Friendly. Stopped here on our way past for a day trip. Was a great find"

"Lou's is one of the best restaurants I've been to in the area. They're a family-owned business and you can taste it in every cup of coffee and dish they prepare for you. Everything is made with a lot of love and I come here whenever I am in the area"

Next time I get off the highway near here I will have to stop into Lou's and try it for myself.
