CVS Adds COVID Vaccination Sites in Dutchess + Putnam Counties
It's going to be even easier now to get your COVID-19 vaccine as CVS has just announced they are adding sites in Dutchess and Putnam Counties.
If you live in towns like Dover Plains, Carmel, Pawling, and Millerton it may not be as difficult to get your COVID-19 shot. CVS Pharmacy has announced they are adding more locations so people who are eligible can get their COVID-19 vaccine.
As you know, if you've tried to get a vaccine appointment, it can be tough. But now with added locations, the state hopes that things will get a little easier.
According to patch.com, some 174 CVS locations throughout the state will be offering the vaccine - which is up from 155 locations previously.
According to stats released by the New York State Health Department, 4.5 million New York residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and more than one million doses have been given out just in the last seven days. Almost 135,000 doses have been administered in the last 24 hours.
Remember, it's not on a first come, first serve basis. You'll need to make an appointment in advance through health.ny.gov. You'll also have to be eligible for the vaccine and that means you must be a New York resident, meet the current age requirements, and now teachers in K-12, daycare and preschool workers and staff are eligible as well.
