On Tuesday, Christopher Cuomo confirmed on social media he was diagnosed with COVID-19.

"I just found out that I am positive for coronavirus. I have been exposed to people in recent days who have subsequently tested positive and I had fever, chills and shortness of breath. I just hope I didn't give it to the kids and Christina," he tweeted. "I am quarantined in my basement."

Cuomo is a CNN anchor. He's the host of Cuomo Prime Time. He says he will continue to do shows from his basement.

On Tuesday, during his daily coronavirus briefing, Gov. Cuomo confirmed his "best friend," his brother has coronavirus.

"He is going to be fine. He's young, in good shape, strong. He will be fine. But the lesson, he's an essential worker. A member of the press. If you go out there, the chance of getting infected is very high," Cuomo said.

Gov. Cuomo also said he was upset his brother visited their mother, prior to his brother getting infected. Gov. Cuomo said that's what helped him come up with "Matilda's Law."
