Both clinics will take place this month.

If you live in Columbia county or have family in the area and you're looking for a place to have a COVID-19 test done the Columbia County Department of Health have announced that they are going to be holding two COVID-19 drive-through clinics according to News 10.

The first clinic will take place on Tuesday December 8th, from 10 a.m. through 12 p.m. at the Shatford Memorial Park located on Route 22 in New Lebanon. The second clinic will take place on Tuesday, December 15th from 9 a.m. through 11 a.m. at the A.B. Shaw Fire Company located at 67 NY-23, in Claverack.

The County Department of Health is recommending that visitors register online for the clinics. If you plan to go on Dec 8th, you can register here and for the clinic on Dec 15th, here.

If you attend either or both of the clinics, they have asked that everyone follow some simple rules including, you must be a resident of Columbia County to register for testing, if you go be sure to bring photo ID and masks will be required for entry to the clinics.

As far as the type of tests that will be available, they will be doing the nasopharyngeal swabs which according to News 10, are most useful to detect the virus in actively sick people, they are not doing the antibody tests.

Once the test are done, it might take up to five days for people to receive their test results and everyone that is tested at either of the clinics will get their results once they are processed.
