WWE Star Visits Albany 20 Years After Life-Changing Title Win
Back in October of 2000, a packed house at the Pepsi Arena in Albany (and a massive PPV audience) watched WWF superstars The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Rikishi, Triple H and Kurt Angle in the third and final event in the "No Mercy" trilogy.
That night, many memories were made and those who were in attendance remember the excitement and energy like it was yesterday including WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle. Angle calls that night one of the the biggest moment of his career as he rocketed to stardom after pinning The Rock and winning the WWF Championship.
This weekend, Angle returns to the Capital Region where WWE fans can relive that night - and moments just like them - with the wrestling icon himself.
Kurt Angle will be at Heroes Hideout inside Colonie Center this Saturday May 8th, from 2pm-4pm. For ticket, autograph, and meet-and-greet information, click here.
You could argue that those throwback memories and times, were some of the very best and most exciting in the history of professional sports entertainment.
Here's what Kurt Angle himself said about that night in Albany, October 2000. The Rock chimed on Twitter as well:
