Video Game Sales Up; What Are You Playing?

Do you play video games? Maybe you consider yourself a hard-core gamer or perhaps just an enthusiast, but what is happening during this social distancing/self-isolation/shelter in place, is more and more people are reaching for their controllers.

Maybe it's because it is an easy way to interact with others without having to leave the house? Maybe it's an opportunity to play one of the games you really wanted to master, but you just didn't have any time to do so?

Well, you are not alone. Video game sales world-wide have increased since the beginning of the Covid-19 restrictions. The video game from Nintendo, their new Animal Crossing series release, New Horizon, sold over 2-million copies in the first three days it was out.

That got us to thinking, what are the other games that people are buying. If New Horizons is number one, what are the other top sellers. In the interest of transparency, we got the following information from BestBuy.com

3. Persona 5 Royal Launch Edition
4. Final Fantasy VII Remake Standard Edition
5. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Standard Edition
