So Memorial Day is approaching quickly and that means pools are going to be opening. Will there be things that you need to keep in mind because of Covid-19? Is there anything different that you will need to do to maintain the safety of your family and your guests?

The Center for Disease Control released some helpful tips to keep in mind for your pool safety and awareness. Here are just a few of them:

  • Even though you are surrounded by water, remind guests to wash their hands often.
  • Ask guests to not try to swim with their face coverings in place, as cloth face coverings can be hard to breathe through when they are wet.  Yet, remind guests to wear their face coverings when they are not in the water.
  • Make sure that your guests have adequate access to hygiene supplies. Supplies include soap, hand sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol, paper towels, tissues, and no-touch trash cans.
  • Keep up on your pool maintenance, using the proper products to allow for water cleanliness and pH.

What will you be doing different during the pool season of 2020? Will there be changes for you? Will you invite less people over? Or do you feel, as long as everyone stays outside, that it is "all good?"
