ACS HV Kicks off Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Plane Pull

How have I never heard of this kind of event before?! This sounds so epic, and I want in on this now. Not only do you get to attempt to pull a full-sized airplane, you're also supporting breast cancer awareness in the process.

Plane Pull to Promote Breast Cancer Awareness, Research Funding and Patient Services

Teams from all across the Hudson Valley consisting of ten people each will embrace their inner super-human abilities for the 2022 Hudson Valley Plane Pull. Each team will have the opportunity to step onto the tarmac, work together, and pull a United GoJet CRG 145 - 50 passenger plane. Teams will compete to make the fastest time from teh start to the finish point. Other prizes include the second fastest time, the Most Spirited, and the Biggest Heart.

Besides pulling the plane, this is a fun, family friendly event with much to do. You can enjoy outdoor games, entertainment, kid and adult crafts, photo roamer, DJ, and food trucks.

Senior Development Manager of the American Cancer Society of the Hudson Valley, Kristi Greco, had this to say about the upcoming Plane Pull:

This is an incredible and unique opportunity for the Hudson Valley community to pull together and fund the American Cancer Society's efforts to fight breast cancer. It also is a really fun and exciting event with bragging rights for all who are strong enough to pull an airplane.

The goal for the Plane Pull is $50,000. At the time of writing this article, they have raised over $52,152! To learn more about the event, you can visit the Plane Pull's official site.
