Summer in the Hudson Valley is the perfect time to enjoy the fresh outdoors, attend local events and more. We can check out hiking trails, festivals and all that the community has to offer.
Summer is my favorite season, I love the warmer weather and sunshine! As a kid, I loved running through the sprinkler and want to do it again as an adult.
It’s always nice to cool off in pools and local beaches. If we want to switch things up, we can also explore lakes and even splash pads within the Hudson Valley.
Summer Fun Returns As Orange County Splash Pad Reopens For The Season

I have always wanted to go to a splash pad within New York State. I had so much fun while I was on vacation, running through them and my inner child was also happy! They are a great way to cool off and also something fun that the entire family can join in on.
In Orange County, residents were sharing their excitement on social media about a splash pad opening for the season. It also looks new and super clean!
This summer, we can grab some lunch and head to this splash pad to truly soak up summer and all of the excitement behind it.

The Port Jervis Recreation made a post on social media. They shared that the splash pad that’s located in the City of Port Jervis is now open to the public. This splash pad is located on Church Street Park and will be open daily from 11am until 7pm.

What Else Can We Do In The Port Jervis, NY Area?
After having fun and cooling off at the City of Port Jervis’s splash pad, be sure to check out other activities in the area.
I visited the Tri-States Monument which is the point where three states come together. It’s incredible to stand in one place while taking in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania! Also, we can take a drive on one of my favorite roads in the Hudson Valley.
Especially during this time of year, I recommend taking a cruise on the Hawks Nest. There are beautiful views of the area and the Delaware River. There are local eateries to visit in the Port Jervis area including Fox n Hare Brewing Company and Ben’s Fresh.
Enjoy all of the fun, outdoor activities in the Hudson Valley this summer, cheers!
