There is a place in Ulster County that offers one of the best views in the Catskills, and you don’t even have to hike to get to it. In fact, it’s not even outdoors. You’re probably thinking that any indoor view can’t be nearly as good as an outdoor view. But this comes close.

I’m talking about the Giant Kaleidoscope at The Emerson Resort in Mount Tremper. I have heard about this kaleidoscope for years, but I’ve never been there. The other day, I was researching cool Hudson Valley landmarks, and the Giant Kaleidoscope kept coming up. The kaleidoscope is housed in a huge silo and is open Thursdays - Mondays. This is a very popular destination, and by looking at the photographs, I can see why.
