"Ice Sculpting Masters" will be coming to the New York State Fairgrounds at the end of the month.

The holidays will look and feel a little different this year, but there is still plenty of fun to be had. This past summer was all about drive-in events, and the "driving" theme continues this winter with drive-thru Christmas light displays and now a drive-thru ice sculpture event.

According to a New York Upstate (NYUP) story, "Ice Sculpting Masters" is coming to the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse Wednesday, December 30th through Sunday, January 3rd. The drive-thru display featuring over 80 ice sculptures will be open each day 4:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. NYUP says artists from all over the United States carve the sculptures from a "canvas" of 150,000 pounds of ice and the drive-thru portion will also feature holiday music to keep you in the Christmas spirit! That's a lot of ice.

Now the trek to Syracuse is a little bit of a drive, but for something this unique, it would be worth it. Plus, with fewer events happening this holiday season, I am sure you can spare the time to make the trip if this one interests you! And what could be better than a nice road trip the front or four-wheel drive sleigh with your family to celebrate the season?

Tickets are $20 per vehicle for this event and are available here. According to the ticketing site passes will be limited to keep lines down, and due to COVID the sculptures can only be viewed from your vehicle.
