Funding for New Micro Bird Bus Plant in Plattsburgh, NY
Funding for the project was created through Excelsior Jobs Program tax credits valued at up to $9.8 million, a $2.5 million grant through the North Country Regional Economic Development Council, and $38 million of "traditional" investment.

The manufacturing plant was previously occupied by Nova Bus, which is part of the Volvo Group. Credit was given to Governor Kathy Hochul for "directly" communicating with the former owners "to spearhead efforts to secure a new occupant" that ultimately was announced to be Micro Bird.
