Does the store you shop at have any of these rules?

Over the course of the coronavirus pandemic it seems like the whole world has changed, so much so that when I went to the grocery store over the weekend and I was welcomed with all kinds of new things.

To make sure that you are prepared to grocery shop with ease, I thought I would share some of the "new" rules I observed at a few store across the Hudson Valley over the last few days. Most of the stores all have some rules that are the same including, everyone must wear a mask, gloves are recommended and everyone needs to stay 6 feet apart from each other.

I stopped in to a few stores on my "mini" grocery store tour including, Stop and Shop in Poughkeepsie and Shop Rite near the Poughkeepsie Galleria and found that both stores like many have installed signs on the floors of the aisles to make they are only one way. So when you get to the store don't forget to look down around where you are and do you best to follow the one way traffic because if you don't as one store employee put it, "People get pretty mad with "huffing and puffing" at people who are going the wrong way."

The Shop Rite that I visited also had a security person at the front entrance monitoring people coming in and going out, at least I think he was security, he was wearing a shirt that said asset protection or something on the back of it.

I also noticed that the when you go to checkout they have a plastic chain blocking off the registers so you can't just walk up and pick what register you want to use, you have walk all the way to the end of the row of registers and until an employee tells you when to go to what number register they choose to pay for your stuff.

I'm open to any and almost all changes if it means that we are all safer moving forward but I would ask one favor. If you see me in the store walking the wrong way down an aisle, please don't yell or as the grocery employee put it, "huff or puff" as I walk by. Thank you...LOL.

If your store has any rules that I missed, please text them to us through the Lite-FM  app so we can all have a pleasant experience at the grocery store.
