One of the coolest things about Facebook is that we can connect with all kinds of people and we can see what everyone is posting. It always cracks me up when I log in and see some new creature was found somewhere in the Hudson Valley and someone is trying to figure out what it is. This exact situation happened the other day and the Hudson Valley resident who posted the picture is trying to get more information on it.

What creature was recently found in the Hudson Valley?

So when I first took a quick look it looks like some kind of crayfish, but it has a very pinkish color to it. These days all kinds of interesting stuff pops in the area and it's not that shocking to see one. I did a little digging on crayfish and found our more information about them.

Some crayfish can be known as lobsters, crawdads, mudbugs and yabbies. They can be found in all kinds of places like brooks and streams, freshwater, swamps, dtiches and more. So it isn't so far fetched that something like this could be found.
