Have you just about run out of things for you and the kids to do? Good news, your local library's are still holding their Summer Reading Programs!

The idea behind it? Get people (especially the kids) who have more time to read over the summer, to encourage their love of reading, their comprehension skills and to keep their little brains in use over the summer. Most of these programs were such as success, that the programs expanded to adults as well.

Here are just a few of the local Hudson Valley Libraries that are holding summer reading programs for 2020:

Want to read more, but don't want to have to go to the library to pick out your books and return them? Ask you librarian how you can use your library card to check out books on line and read them with an e-reader. Here's something to know, you don't actually need an e-reader, you can use apps like Libby or Kindle to read books (and check them out).
