Steven Spielberg Film Casting Hudson Valley Locals For UFO Movie

A-List Director Filming New Movie in Hudson Valley Region

Hudson Valley Film Commission shared the casting call earlier this week for a movie called Non-View.  The project is being directed by the one and only Steven Spielberg and according to sources it will take on a Sci-Fi theme.

According to information added to Wikipedia, Non-View is "a UFO film" based on an original idea from Spielberg. So far, it looks as though Emily Blunt, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson and Colman Domingo have joined the cast.

There have been a handful of sightings of the project filming in New Jersey, New York City and Atlanta since the new year. Now it looks like they can add the Hudson Valley to the list of filming locations.

Casting Call For Steven Spielberg UFO Movie Near Catskill Mountains

As mentioned above, Hudson Valley Film Commission has shared details about a casting call for Spielberg's UFO film in the works.

Currently they are looking for "Hudson Valley locals that live close to Catskill and Haines Falls to play hotel guests, diner patrons and drivers with cars."

Tentative filming dates are: April 9th and April 11th. No experiences is necessary, so if you're interested in apply email nonview@gwcnyc.com with the subject HVFC Greene County Locals the following information:

First and Last Name.
Preferred Pronouns (optional).
Phone Number.

And answer the following questions:

Are you a SAG-AFTRA member in good standing or NONSAG?
What dates are you available for filming 4/10/25 and 4/11/25?
Do you have any visible tattoos?
They ask for you to confirm if you're local to the Greene County region and if you're 18-years-old or older.
Plus they would like a current, non professional photo of yourself and would like for you to include a close up and full body photos. Additionally, if you have a car to work with on camera they would like for you to add ta picture of the car and Color, Year, Make and Model.

Hotel and transportation for filming is not provided. This is a paid shoot with payment breakdown as follows:

SAG-AFTRA  $216/8HRS
CAR ALLOWANCE is $37.50
NON-SAG RATE is $181.50/10HRS

Steven Spielberg Supports Popular Poughkeepsie, NY Sandwich Shop

Maybe when Mr. Spielberg comes back to the Hudson Valley for filming this spring, he'll make a stop in Poughkeepsie.

Back in 2022, Spielberg was spotted with the staff from Rosticceria Rossi & Sons. We're not sure where the picture was taken, if it was at one of Rossi's 2 Poughkeepsie locations or elsewhere, but what we do know is that Spielberg enjoyed something off the Rossi's menu.

On Instagram Rossi's wrote "We’ve made lunch for A Lot of people but this is way up there."
