Are Any Red Lobster Restaurants Still Open in New York?
Is it still possible to enjoy a meal at a Red Lobster in New York?
Back in May 2024, we told you that the popular seafood restaurant chain was preparing to close numerous locations as they entered into bankruptcy. At the time it was reported they would be closing 80+ locations including 10 locations in New York. Two Hudson Valley locations in Poughkeepsie, and Kingston, New York abruptly closed after the announcement and many wondered how many more would close.
Red Lobster Closes More New York Locations
Last month it was reported that another round of closures would affect 23 more Red Lobster restaurants including two New York locations that were previously thought to be safe from closing. The new round of closure was expected to be completed by August 31st and would close the Red Lobster at 750 Upper Glen St in Queensbury, New York as well as the restaurant at 925 Hunts Point Ave. Bronx, New York.
According to Biz Journals, the closures come after Red Lobster submitted court papers stating that the company would be "exercising its right to reject leases at locations it says are unprofitable."
Red Lobster Still Open in New York?
After the new round of closures, many have wondered if there are still any Red Lobster still open. The good news is that YES, Red Lobster currently has 17 locations still open across New York state including restaurants in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Carle Place, Colonie, Copiague, Deer Park, Hicksville, Horseheads, Liverpool, New Hartford, New York City (Times Square), Rochester, Ronkonkoma, Valley Stream, Vestal and Yonkers, New York.

The only Red Lobster left in the Hudson Valley that's still open (above) is located at 450 Route 211 East in Middletown, New York.
