4 Tasty Meals That Will Raise Money For Firehouses

It feels like it has been a while since I was able to share firehouse food updates with the Hudson Valley. Some people may not even realize that your local fire department has events based around food that you can enjoy while helping them raise money.

Over the past few weeks, I have been seeing pancake breakfasts, chicken dinners, and other food fun events pop up on social media and I want to share to help get the word out. Many of our local fire companies run on volunteers and count on funds they can raise in the community to continue their great work.

Hudson Valley Firehouses Offering Food Fundraisers

Stop into your local fire department and see what they have going on and you may discover that you can help by becoming a volunteer.

Here are a few upcoming events I found that promise great food to benefit a great group.

New Hamburg Eng. Co. 1 15 Channingville Road, Wappingers Falls, New York is having a Fish Fry every Friday during Lent.

The first one kicks this Friday, February 16th from 4 PM to 7:30 PM. Meals are to go only. They are $14 each and include a portion of fried fish, coleslaw, roll, and a choice of baked potato or french fries.

Hudson Valley Firehouse Pancake Breakfast in Ulster County

Port Ewen Volunteer Fire Department 129 Legion Ct, Port Ewen, New York has a Pancake Breakfast happening this Sunday, February 18th from 8 AM to 11:30 AM and again on March 17th, 2024. They run the breakfast on the third Sunday of the month between November and March.

Expect pancakes, french toast, bacon, sausage, home fries, eggs and toast. Adults are $12, Kids under 10 are $6 kids under 5 are free. The senior price is $10.

Esopus Fire Department 1142 Broadway, Esopus, New York will be holding a Pancake Breakfast on March 3rd from 8:30 PM to 11:30 AM.

It is an all-you-can-eat event held at the firehouse and donations are accepted.

Hudson Valley Firehouse Chicken BBQ Dinner in Wallkill, New York

Wallkill Hook, Ladder and Hose Co. 112 Bona Ventura Avenue, Wallkill, New York will host a Winter Chicken BBQ on March 23rd, 2024.

Pick-up meals are available starting at 5:30 PM, and Dine-in meals are at 6:30 PM with continuous service. The price is $20 per person and that includes wine, beer, soda, and dessert.
