As you can see in as little as ten minutes on an 80-degree day the temperature inside a locked car can rise almost 20 degrees to a dangerous 99 degrees!! If that's not scary enough if a pet is left in a car on a 90-degree day for 30 minutes the temperature in the car after only 30 minutes can reach a deadly 124 degrees. Obviously, that temperature range isn't safe for any living thing so the best advice for pet owners is to plan ahead.
