
Body Found In Wappinger Creek Sparks Investigation In Dutchess County
A sad discovery in Dutchess County has prompted an investigation after a man's body was found in Wappinger Creek over the weekend.
According to the New York State Police, troopers were called to the area of 1624 Main Street in the Town of Pleasant Valley at approximately 4:20 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, after receiving a report of suspicious activity.

When troopers arrived, they located the body of a deceased man in the Wappinger Creek.
At this point, investigators say there are no signs that foul play was involved. While the discovery is understandably unsettling for anyone who lives or works nearby, police have indicated there are currently no signs that any crime has taken place.
