Product Sold in 41 States, Including New York, Recalled

A recall on Alfredo sauce has just been upgraded.

According to Good Morning America, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration "has elevated" a recent recall on Alfredo sauce.

The specific sauce was sold in 41 states, including New York, and they say that the "supplier flagged an ingredient for possible Salmonella contamination."

More specially, the FDA explains the recall writing:

Product contains dry milk powder ingredient recalled by the supplier due to potential Salmonella contamination

The Alfredo sauce was sold by The Coffee Connexion Co. Inc, located in Lebanon, Tennessee.

What Exact Products Are Affected By the Alfredo Sauce Recall?

On the FDA website the recall is classified as a Class I recall, which is the most severe product recall.

A Class I recall is considered severe as there is "a reasonable probability that using or being exposed to a violative product will cause serious adverse health consequences or death."

The U.S. Food & Drug Administration has shared which exact products are affected by the recall.

Recent Food Recalls In New York

Along with the Alfredo sauce recall, there are a handful of other food recalls in New York.

Most recently Farm Rich Pizza Cheese Crunchers were recalled by their company Rich Products Corp, which is based in Buffalo.

The Farm Rich product was recalled due to concerns of metal fragment contamination. They ended up recalling over 160,000 pounds of the product.

Clover Hill Dairy & Nelson & Isa Lacteos Cheese Products were also recalled due to a Listeria outbreak.

Prime Food Processing Dried Herring Fish, from Brooklyn, was recalled due to a risk of "Clostridium botulinum spore contamination" also known as botulism.
