Hudson Valley Child Actors Needed for Feature Film in Kingston

I’ve heard the expression “Hollywood on the Hudson” more than a few times over the last few years. It refers, of course, to the Hudson Valley. The Hudson Valley has become one the the top spots for filming. From Newburgh, to Poughkeepsie, to Kingston and everywhere in between, it seems there are film crews and actors busy at work.

The fact that the Hudson Valley has become such a popular place for filming is great news for Hudson Valley actors. You used to have to travel down to the city for auditions, and if you were lucky enough to land a part, you had to head back to the city to work. Nowadays, there are plenty of opportunities for actors of all ages right here in the Hudson Valley. In fact, if your child has dreams of acting, or you know of a child actor, there’s an opportunity right now.

Hudson Valley Casting has put out an urgent call for children ages 9 - 15 who look young for background roles on a feature film being shot in Kingston. The shoot dates are April 12 and 18, and the actors must be available for both dates. The child must be Covid 19 vaccinated, and valid New York State performer permits are preferred.
