How To Celebrate Earth Day 2020 Online in the Hudson Valley
How do you celebrate or mark Earth Day? That is entirely up to you. People have been known to pick up trash in their community, plant trees, build com-posters in their yard, plant gardens, and lately everyone has been forced to make the switch to using cloth grocery bags when doing your shopping.
Things in 2020 are a bit different, where in years passed one could go out and participate in community activities, this year is different.
HT to Hudson Valley Parent who posted some online ways to participate and mark the day (April 22, 2020).
- The Hudson Valley group Riverkeeper is hosting an online advocacy forum at the NYS capital. Here is the link to join in, RiverKeeper
- Scenic Hudson is sharing info on a virtual scavenger hunt that takes place on the Vassar College Campus
- Scenic Hudson is also live streaming three days of events with Earth Day features
- Cornell Cooperative Extention in Ulster County is also hosting a day of live stream activities
Is there something that your family is doing that you can share with us? Thank you in advance!
