How Dunkin’ Will Celebrate National Donut Day (& Weekend!)
National Donut Day takes place the first Friday in June and it has since 1938 when the Chicago Salvation Army started the day to celebrate the women who had served donuts to soldiers during World War I.
Dunkin' Donuts is making sure that you can mark the day in donut style, by giving away a free classic donut to each customer, with a beverage purchase at participating locations. Then they have also teamed up with Grubhub for the weekend celebration, offering a free half-dozen donuts on Dunkin' orders of $10 or more on June 6 and June 7, 2020. The weekend offer is not available for walk-up or drive-thru, you will have to place the order through Grubhub to receive that special.
What is your favorite type or donut? Classic old-fashioned? Strawberry Frosted? Boston Kreme? Let us know! How will you celebrate National Donut Day, will your celebrating involve more than one donut? Don't worry, we won't tell.
