Habitat Dutchess has also kept over 7500 tons out of the landfill through ReStore, which is celebrating 10 years of operation this month. They have also built and repaired over 400 homes and partnered with over 2000 volunteers.

Habitat for Humanity of Dutchess County helps the community by offering new construction, critical home repairs, and aging-in-place accessibility updates. They offer courses on homebuying to help people understand the path to home ownership.

They can't do it without you. There are so many ways you can be a part of Habitat Dutchess and their mission to ensure everyone has a safe, affordable place to call home. Volunteering, financial support, and donating goods to ReStore are a great start. Land donations are also welcome.

ReStore Dutchess is celebrating 10 years as a source for great shopping, while also being a place that has kept over 7500 tons of stuff out of our landfills. ReStore is located on Route 9 in Wappingers. If you love thrifting or you need something for around the house, ReStore is a great place to shop, and your purchase helps build the community.

ReStore Dutchess is also a great place to donate things that are gently used that you no longer need. You may be surprised by what they accept. Be sure to check out what and how to donate. ReStore Dutchess in Wappingers Falls accepts gently used household items, antiques, and more, even leftover home renovation supplies. You can even donate a car, running or not.

Looking ahead to the Fall, be sure to save the date for Hearts & Hammers, which will be held on October 1st, 2026, at The Round House in Beacon, New York. Join Habitat Dutchess as they celebrate 40 years of helping transform lives through affordable homeownership.

Over the past 40 years, with help from Habitat for Humanity of Dutchess County, 400 families have found a place to call home. Thousands of volunteers have helped build hope and pick up a hammer.
