Caña Dulce y Caña Brava is a traditional son jarocho group started by Adriana Cao Romero and Raquel Vega, both from families with a deep musical tradition. The group has toured nationally and internationally, representing Mexican culture in Turkey, South Africa, Canada, South Korea, Jamaica, and more. To date, they have two albums published and are in the process of publishing the third. Their goal is to spread their culture and seek to broaden the Mexican culture to worldwide audiences, by encouraging children and young people of the creation and dissemination of Veracruz music, dance, and poetry of the son jarocho tradition.
