This is exciting news for Hudson Valley shoppers! Soon, we can visit this major chain store in their new location within the Ulster County area.

Dick’s Sporting Goods has always been a place where we can shop for everyone. They have sneakers, clothes, sporting equipment, accessories and more. It’s great that we can shop under one roof to purchase something for ourselves and others.

Dick’s Sporting Goods has locations within the Hudson Valley including Poughkeepsie, Middletown and Kingston.

In Kingston, the Dick’s Sporting Goods location will move from the Hudson Valley Mall on Ulster Ave to a new spot.

Thankfully, Hudson Valley shoppers can still shop at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Ulster County. They are relocating to the Hudson Valley Plaza in Kingston which was the former Grand Mountain location. When I spoke to Dick’s Sporting Goods in Kingston, they explained that they would be in the Hudson Valley Mall until February which is perfect timing!

On the Dick’s Sporting Goods website, they shared helpful information about the grand opening in Ulster County.

We can attend the grand opening of Dick’s Sporting Goods at the Hudson Valley Plaza in Kingston, NY this month. From Friday, March 20 to Sunday, March 22, 2026, this event will take place. On their website, they included that we can,

"Expect prizes, special appearances and more for a fun-filled weekend.”

A New York linebacker, Brian Burns will also make a special appearance at this location on Friday, March 20 from 5:00-6:30pm. We could receive a free mystery gift card if we are one of the first 100 attendees in line when they open.
