Ok, so you are thinking that you are studying super hard to get into a graduate program and some extra money would help you out, right? There is money out there for school. Yes, it requires hard work, potentially some paper work and almost guaranteed to include an essay, but there are unusual scholarships that you just might be eligible for.

Here is one from the National Potato Council. They will give one person $10,000 toward their graduate degree to conduct research that benefits the potato industry. Think of it as "Can you build a better potato? Is there something that you think the potato can do that no one else knows about?"

You have until June 15, 2020 to apply. The selection will be made on several factors, including grades, achievements and the type of research you have already done on potatoes, and of course an essay of 200 words or less.
