I get so excited every time that I see a butterfly, they are so beautiful! There places that can visit to see butterfly gardens within New York state. Otherwise, we can make it our mission to bring more of them into our yards.

The Old Farmer’s Almanac not only shared how we can attract more butterflies in our yard but how we can also plant by the moon.

Here's How You Can Plant By The Moon In New York State

The Old Farmer’s Almanac shared helpful information about how we can plant the moon and what it means. I personally thought that it meant planting outside at night underneath the moon. However, they explained that it follows the cycles of the moon so that plants can get the growth that they need.

It was also interesting to learn that seeds need more water between certain moon phases. Some of these phases may be familiar to us if we have heard of the new moon and full moon. The Old Farmer’s Almanac has a calendar that highlights when to plant by the moon which would be a great gift idea for nature lovers!

Here's How You Can Attract More Butterflies In Your Yard In New York State

The Old Farmer's Almanac continues to share helpful information for nature lovers. They shared a post on social media highlighting how we can bring more butterflies into our yard and we’re ready for it!

The Old Farmer's Almanac explained that we would want to choose a sunny location outside because it’s what butterflies love (me too). From there, we can then add in dill, parsley, milkweed and more for them.

To keep the butterflies coming back, they recommend bringing in plants such as goldenrod, coneflowers and more. It would give them nectar and a place to feed.
