Going through things at the house or the office? Look's like it's time to see if you have an Epson Scanner on hand. BestBuy announced a recall on the of a power cord that had been sold with certain Epson Scanners through the beginning of May 2020.

The cord has the code, EADP-16CB B on it. The scanners were sold at locations, including BestBuy, Target, Office Depot, Staples and Walmart (to name a few). The cord is being recalled because, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the power adapters can overheat, melt and catch fire, posing burn and fire hazards.

If you own one of these cords, you can return it to place of purchase for a new cord. Since, this might not be an option for a few weeks, until all stores re-open amid the Covid-19 restrictions, you can contact Epson directly for a replacement.
