I always look forward to buying gifts for my friends and family during the holidays. We all tend to put ourselves on a budget when Christmas shopping. I never thought to head to the dollar store to purchase gifts for the holiday season. I'm sure you'll be just as excited and shocked as I was when I found out about these inexpensive gems.

  • Coasters and signs

I would never think to look at the dollar store for these goodies. I was so excited to find really cute coasters with sayings on them. I also came across signs that said blessed and thankful.

  • Hair towels

I gave my sister a super fancy hair towel as one of her birthday gifts. I made sure I got her a specific one even though it was a little pricey. I found the same kind of hair towel (material and everything) in the dollar store. I know where to go next time!

  • Slippers and socks

I’m all about comfy socks and slippers during the winter. Cozy socks are one of my greatest pleasures when it’s chilly out. You can grab both of these items and add them as a stocking stuffer idea. There’s no such thing as too many socks!

  • Hats and gloves

Everyone can always use a hat and pair of gloves during the winter months. From beanies to bright colored gloves, you can buy one for each person on your Christmas list. Get one for yourself to keep in your car as a backup.

  • Kitchen gadgets

I was excited to see the long isle of cups, glasses, mugs, plates and utensils in the dollar store. I had to buy myself a mug that said “Blessed”, it was adorable. My friend just bought her first apartment so I added these things to her Christmas stocking since were adult-ing now.

  • Children’s toys

I always see cute dolls, accessories and games in the dollar store. Sometimes I grab myself a coloring book and crayons and call it a night. While you’re there, grab a package of hot chocolate to add to your relaxing night in.

  • Gift wrap and tissue paper

For all of your dollar store gifts, you’ll need to wrap them in Christmas paper or a gift bag. Depending on locations, they have all different sizes. I even grabbed white tissue paper with a lot of glitter on it (it looks fancy).

  • Birthday and Christmas cards

I can’t remember the last time I didn’t buy a card at the dollar store. For the price of “ 2 for $1”, you literally cannot go wrong. I stocked up on Christmas and birthday cards to have on deck when I need them.

  • Candy

When all else fails, add candy to a Christmas stocking. I make sure I grab extra candy during Christmas because it truly is a great stocking stuffer. Who would deny a piece of chocolate especially during the holidays? :)

*Not every Dollar Tree and Dollar Power will have all of the items mentioned in every location.

Are you as excited as I am about my Christmas finding in the dollar store? I was smiling from ear to ear and made sure the cashier knew how happy I was to get such a great deal. Head on over your local dollar store and let me know what you find.
