You can take all of the beautiful pictures that you have on your phone and allow them to be famous! I  always enjoy capturing pictures of nature, animals and special moments.

Here in New York state, we have four seasons of different types of weather and scenery to show off!

Here's How You Can Submit Your Winter Pictures Of NYS For This Contest

I enjoy following The Old Farmers Almanac on social media. They always share helpful tips about flowers, weather and predictions. The Old Farmers Almanac also brings people together with their posts and creates a friendly space to connect in their comments.

Recently, they made an announcement on social media of what they are looking for. The Old Farmers Almanac explained that they are in need of someone's winter picture for their next cover photo.

This special photo contest will include someone's best winter picture to appear on their Facebook page. We can post our pictures in the comments section of this Facebook post from The Old Farmer’s Almanac.

There are certain criteria that they ask us to include in this contest. The Old Farmers Almanac would like for our pictures to be in high resolution and original. They also mentioned that the pictures would have to be horizontal and for us to include the location of the picture.

In the comments section of their Facebook posts, social media users have submitted their  pictures of winter scenes. Some of the pictures included cactus with snow on it from New Mexico, snowy views from Montana, an outdoor Christmas tree in Maine and more.

Other social media users shared pictures from a woodpecker in the snow from West Virginia and a squirrel in the snow from Minnesota.

I enjoyed scrolling through the comments to see the beautiful, winter pictures that were shared in the comments.

The winter scenes within the Hudson Valley are beautiful. I’ve noticed ones featuring the Shawagunk Mountains in New Paltz and scenes of the Catskills.

I would say that the pictures you have on your phone of winter scenes are already worthy of this contest! We would also love to see them. Have fun with this photo contest and stay warm!

When was the last time that you took the scenic route or the back road? There's something so peaceful about taking in the views of the beautiful farmland and the smells of fresh grass with the windows down.
