History of Sierra Lily Gift Boutique

Back in 1974, this small gift boutique was opened by local Poughkeepsie resident John Bocchino, and started out known as Country Manner, a charming store in the old Dutchess Mall in Fishkill. The shop quickly became known for its wide selection of collectibles, artwork, and unique gifts. With the support of his family, the business expanded and relocated to a new location on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie, which is where it continues to operate today.

As Country Manner continued to grow, John Bocchino embraced being a family-run business, and decided to revitalize the store. With the help of his wife, Janice, and his step-daughter, Jennifer, the family renamed the boutique Sierra Lily, in honor of Jennifer's firstborn daughter.

Today Sierra Lily, which is still located on South Road in Poughkeepsie between the Galleria and the South Hills Mall, offers a uniquely curated selection of jewelry, apparel, home goods, bath and body products and thoughtful gifts.
