The Hudson Valley community has been celebrating a local business and their achievements. Not only are they a fan favorite in Ulster County, NY but they have been a staple here for nearly 100 years.

This fan favorite eatery has been a staple within the Ulster County, NY community. After many years, Eng’s Chinese Restaurant reopened their dining space in 2025. The community was excited to once visit this beloved space.

Eng’s Chinese Restaurant is also a piece of history within the area, they first opened in the 1920’s. Ulster County, NY residents mentioned that this is one of the oldest continuous restaurants within Kingston.

I love that Eng's Chinese Restaurant was also featured in the TV show, Severance! More than ever, the community has shown their love and appreciation to this eatery.

Beloved Ulster County, NY Eatery Receives Outstanding Award

The Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce shared an exciting post on social media. They included a shoutout to a local business that received an outstanding award.

Some highlights from their Facebook post included,

“Congratulations to our 2025 Heritage Award Honoree — Eng’s Restaurant!”

The Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce referred to Eng’s Chinese Restaurant as a,

“A true Kingston treasure”

They also mentioned that not only is this eatery a place that has incredible food but it’s been locally owned for over 100 years and it continues to be a place that we look to visit.

On The Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook page, Hudson Valley residents shared their love towards Eng’s Restaurant. There were over 85 comments about Eng’s Restaurant receiving this outstanding award.
