What threat was recently connected to a school in Kingston, NY?

According to the Kingston City School District, after school ended on Friday, January 27th a threat was reportedly found written on the bathroom wall in a girl's bathroom at M Clifford Miller Middle School in Lake Katrine, NY. The threat allegedly stated that the school would be shot up on "Monday 30th 208". How awful...

What action was taken by law enforcement?

According to the police, additional police officers have been assigned to the investigation. Students at the school have also noticed changes at the school this morning like bag checks being done for everyone entering the school and additional police presence at the building.

The school dance that was supposed to be held on Friday night was cancelled out of precaution. Superintendent Paul J. Padalino said,

"Ensuring a safe environment is always our priority and we will continue to cooperate fully with the Town of Ulster Police to bring closure to this situation".
