It’s easy to see that I love almost everything about the Hudson Valley. From the beautiful Shawangunks, to the endless hiking trails and the abundant amount of history throughout this state, there’s nothing quite like it.

One of my favorite places to go in the Hudson Valley, believe it or not is Kingston. My family and ancestors have a lot of history there, which is a completely different story. I have watched Kingston change and evolve over the years and I’m thankful to see how much love and light has come into this town. I was also really excited to see that an organization is going to have an event on Thanksgiving Day. Never the less, this event is taking place in one of my favorite places which makes it even sweeter.

We are right in the middle of the season of giving, approaching Thanksgiving and jumping directly into Christmas. As we check off our shopping lists, let’s not forget to also check off our thank you(s) and what we are most grateful for this year. If there’s a way that you can lend a helping hand, don’t hesitate.

The Center for Creative Education is hosting the Spread Love Thanksgiving Event on November 26th from 10 am to 3 pm to help those less fortunate this holiday season.  This event will be outdoors so if you’re planning on attending, being sure to bundle up. The Spread Love Thanksgiving Event will have entertainment, clothing items and the best part, free grub!

You can help make a change by donating to this event. If you are free to volunteer in any way, shape or form, it would be appreciated. Whether you can donate an item, food or your time, a small act of kindness can make all the difference. This event will also take donations of clothing as well.

The Center for Creative Education’s goal is to spread love during this time. The Spread Love Thanksgiving Event will take place between 10-16 on Cedar Street in Kingston.
