Is the Hudson Valley the Filming Location for Steven Spielberg’s New UFO Movie?

Casting Call Posted For Steven Spielberg Filming in the Hudson Valley

Back in March of 2025 a casting call was posted for a shoot in the Hudson Valley and Catskill region.

The casting call was for a project, at the time, called Non-View and after some research we found out the film was being directed by Steven Spielberg. On Wikipedia Non-View was described as a "UFO film."

If anyone knows how to do a UFO film, it's Steven Spielberg.

Spielberg already had a great main cast lined up for the film including Emily Blunt, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, Colman Domingo and Josh O'Connor.

The casting call was looking for background actors local to the Hudson Valley that live near Catskill and Haines Falls. These actors would play "hotel guests, diner patrons and drivers with cars."

As time went on we learned that the film was actually called Disclosure Day and the trailer was recently released.

Can You Spot The Hudson Valley in Disclosure Day Trailer?

We scanned through IMDB to check out possible filming locations.

According to their website the movie was filmed in Huntington, New York on Long Island, New York City, and in parts of New Jersey including Fosterfields Living Historical Farm in Morristown, New Jersey.

But as we mentioned above a casting call was posted looking for extras in Haines Falls and filming was spotted in parts of Westchester.

While we can't confirm which scenes were filmed locally, some of them have a Hudson Valley vibe. Like this shot:

Additionally, Selena's Diner in Tannersville was closed April 3rd 2025 through April 12th, 2025. If you put together the casting call looking for diner patrons and the shooting dates, it looks like Selena's may be a shooting location.

Disclosure Day hits theaters on June 12th, 2026.

Hudson Valley Film & Television Projects To Look Forward to in 2026

We're saving the date for June 12th to see Disclosure Day, but we also have other projects to look forward to.

Season 2 of The Four Seasons on Netflix wrapped up filming in the Hudson Valley around Thanksgiving 2025. You'll see Colman Domingo in 2 Hudson Valley filmed projects as he's in Disclosure Day and Four Seasons.

In early January 2026 Best Medicine aired on Fox starring Josh Charles. The newest Fox show filmed in Orange and Dutchess County for much of 2025.
